About SANKO COP31
Who it's for
Middle and high school students interested in the sustainable development agenda, plus high school and undergraduate committee moderators with experience in global sustainability and climate-focused academic events.
Our focus
Designing and implementing youth, education, and climate policy within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. Building a bridge between scientific evidence and public policy, and supporting young people's participation in multi-stakeholder cooperation.
Event output
One policy framework document from each committee, combined into the "Towards COP31: SANKO Youth Policy Report."
The summit is grounded in the Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) approach under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, aiming for the policy texts drafted by young participants to feed into national and international decision-making in line with the COP31 Presidency's principles of "dialogue," "consensus," and "action."
